Getting Started

Set up Gravity in minutes — install, activate, and start automating your development workflow.

Installation

Gravity ships as a single portable .exe (Windows) or AppImage (Linux). No installer required.

Windows

  1. Download Gravity.exe from the releases page
  2. Place in a folder of your choice (e.g., C:\Tools\Gravity\)
  3. Optional: Add folder to PATH for global gravity command

Linux

  1. Download Gravity.AppImage
  2. Make executable: chmod +x Gravity.AppImage
  3. Run: ./Gravity.AppImage

Note: Windows Defender may flag the unsigned executable on first run. Click "More info" → "Run anyway".

First Run

Launch Gravity.exe. On first start:

  1. License prompt appears — Enter your license key or start 7-day trial
  2. Workspace selector — Choose or create a workspace folder (stores config, knowledge base, indexes)
  3. Theme selection — Light / Dark / System (persisted)
  4. Agent onboarding — Quick tour of the agent panel (optional)

After setup, the main window opens with:

  • Agent Chat — Central command interface (natural language)
  • File Explorer — Workspace tree with git status badges
  • Terminal — Integrated shell (PowerShell / Bash / CMD)
  • Output / Problems — Roslyn diagnostics, build output, test results
